I don’t listen to Metal that much but I really like Woods of Ypres and particularly their last album Woods 5: Grey Skies & Electric Light. The reason I write ‘last album’ and not ‘latest album’ is that their founder, singer and guitarist David Gold was killed in a car accident in 2011.
I intend to make Group of the Week a series, though it will certainly not be a weekly series. Let’s see 🙂

I have posted quite different music before, but the music of Mark Knopfler is with me ever since I listen to music. I have been to two concerts of Dire Straits (where I was certainly one of the youngest in the audience) and as much as it has changed, I also like his more recent music. Like this one…

I really like his music. Before his latest album ‘Heartland’, he released two other albums under the group name ‘Final Fantasy’. He (and his violin) can be also heard sometimes in songs of ‘Arcade Fire’.
